When two actors with a history are thrown together as romantic leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama, they quickly lose touch with reality as the story onstage follows them offstage. Stage Kiss captures Sarah Ruhl’s singular voice. It is a charming tale about what happens when lovers share a stage kiss - or when actors share a real one...

  • She: A woman in her mid-forties. Plays the role of Ada Wilcox
  • He: A man in his mid-forties. Plays the role of Johnny Lowell
  • Adrian Schwalbach: The Stage Director
  • Kevin: The reader, also plays the understudy, a doctor and a butler
  • The Husband or Harrison: An actor in his forties or early fifties
  • Millie/Angela: An actress in her early twenties who can believably play a teenager, plays Millie and THE MAID act 1 and ANGELA act 2
  • Millicent/Laurie: in her late twenties or early thirties, plays MILLICENT act 1 and LAURIE act 22
  • Prepare a maximum two minute comedy monologue

  • Phone Reservations: Call our Box Office at (978) 760-3510. A message will prompt you in making your reservation. Please note that leaving a message does not ensure seating availability. Our Box Office Manager will call you back to confirm. Payment is required at the door; "At the Door" pricing applies.
  • At the Door: Though reservations are strongly encouraged, you can purchase admission (cash or check only) at the door as long as the performance hasn't been "Sold Out".
